Fashion Blogger Nicolle Saylor in E. Scott Originals

Nicolle Saylor is a favorite Boston Blogger, and friend of the Wicked Peacock team. Hailing from the city of Sao Paolo, Saylor’s style is influenced by her native Brazil, which she describes as “colorful and sexy.” Hers is an eclectic style, a mix of vintage, edgy and contemporary looks, the cross between gypsy bohemian edge and tattooed vixen. For this look, Nicolle is wearing jewelry by e. scott originals. 

Nicolle styles some great looks which she posts on her BLOG, featuring fashion from high-end retail stores such as Etro, as well as scores from favorite spots like Artifaktori Vintage, where she works in Davis Square, Somerville and Beacon Hill, Boston.

We chatted with Nicolle recently on the set of a recent shoot about her fierce style, and this is what she had to tell us!

WP: Nicolle, in your opinion what is the difference between fashion and style?

NS: To be fashionable you just need to follow the trends, but to be stylish you need to be yourself and you need to be comfortable in your own skin.  As YSL said, “fashion fades, style is forever.”

WP: Tell us about your most amazing fashion moment?

NS: At NY Fashion Week, 2012, I was photographed by the legendary NY Times photographer, Bill Cunningham.

WP: How do you know when something isn’t right for a look?

NS: When I feel uncomfortable or ugly…

WP: OK, you’re getting ready for a night out of fun with the girls. What do you do?

NS: I usually go to my closet, turn on some music, and see what inspires me.

WP: Talk to me about accessories. Why do you love them?

NS: I think they are a good way to add personality to a look… an outfit can look completely different just by changing or adding accessories.
